Protect Yourself from Counterfeit ZTs
Buy from a reputable dealer at a reasonable price
The best way to ensure your ZT is genuine is to buy from authorized Zero Tolerance dealers. That way, you can be sure they receive their stock direct from us. It also means your knife is fully backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty. Needless to say, counterfeits are not covered.
Counterfeiting cuts deep
As you would expect, counterfeiting hurts a manufacturer like Zero Tolerance. We lose sales to these frauds. But even worse, by associating our name with bad products, our brand reputation and the reputation of our world-class designers and engineers suffer. Counterfeiting hurts our legitimate dealers, too. And ultimately, it hurts you, our customers.
Working with other manufacturers, we are taking all the legal steps we can to deter the counterfeiters. But it’s not a problem that can be solved quickly. In the meantime, protect yourself, your family, and friends by being vigilant and making sure that when you invest, you invest in a genuine ZT.
Warranty Policy
We, at Kai USA/Kershaw Knives/Zero Tolerance/ Shun, are working hard to prevent counterfeits in the market.
Counterfeiting has become a serious problem in the knife industry. Inferior copies of our products are sold through both unscrupulous and unwitting dealers and may include our logos and copies of our packaging. Counterfeiting harms our company not only through lost sales but by having our name associated with inferior products, our reputation suffers. In addition, counterfeit knives are not produced with the same manufacturing standards required of legitimate manufacturers and can be dangerous to use.
By sending your knife to us, you agree that Kai USA may, at its sole discretion, seize the knife for investigation and destruction. Kai USA will not be liable for any costs to the customer who purchased the counterfeit product. Kai USA shall have the right to perform examinations to verify the authenticity of the knife which may damage the knife. Counterfeit knives will not be returned to the customer.
Please keep in mind that Kai USA Ltd. may need to involve third parties or government agencies as part of their investigation, as required by law. By signing the Counterfeit Goods Confirmation and sending in your knife for repair, you agree to fully cooperate in good faith with any investigation conducted by Kai USA Ltd., third parties, and/or governmental agencies, including, but not limited to, cooperating with investigations to identify the seller or source of the counterfeit goods by providing the name, location, and other identifying information about the seller.
It is Illegal under US law to sell counterfeit goods, and KAI USA is committed to stemming the flow of such products. If you have proof of purchase of this product, we ask that you provide us with a copy so we can track down the source.
